Tucked Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026
Overview
Tucked (“the App”) is a local-only gift card wallet. The App has no account system and no sign-in. Your gift cards live on your device, not on our servers. This policy describes the small amount of data the App does handle, the third parties involved, and your rights.
Tucked is published by fuegaux’s Social Club. You can reach us at [email protected].
Data Stored on Your Device
Everything you put into Tucked is stored locally on your iPhone. This includes:
- Gift card details — store name, balance, card number, PIN, barcode, nickname, and any notes you add.
- Your preferences and app settings.
Sensitive fields (card numbers, PINs, barcodes, and notes) are encrypted using iOS Keychain via Expo SecureStore. Other fields are stored using the device’s standard app storage. None of this information is transmitted to our servers, because we don’t operate a server to receive it.
Card Scan (Optional)
When you use the Card Scan feature, a photo of your gift card is transmitted to Anthropic, our AI provider, solely to extract text (store name, card number, balance, PIN). Anthropic does not store the image after processing. The extracted text is returned to your device and saved locally — it never passes through a Tucked server. By using Card Scan you acknowledge that card images are sent to a third-party AI provider. See Anthropic’s privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
You can skip Card Scan entirely and enter card details manually.
Store Alerts & Location (Optional)
If you enable Store Alerts, Tucked uses iOS geofencing (region monitoring) to notify you when you are near a store where you have a gift card. Location data is processed on-device; your coordinates are not transmitted to a Tucked server. To discover nearby store locations, Tucked sends the store brand name and your approximate location to the public OpenStreetMap Overpass API (overpass-api.de) — an open-data project run by the OpenStreetMap community. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy. Card numbers, PINs, and balances are never sent to OpenStreetMap or anyone else.
Location is used only while Store Alerts is enabled. You can disable Store Alerts at any time from the Tucked home screen, or revoke location permission in iOS Settings → Tucked.
In-App Purchases
Tucked offers an optional one-time purchase (“Unlock Premium”) processed by Apple through the App Store. Tucked does not receive or store payment card details. Purchase records are managed by RevenueCat, our purchase-infrastructure provider, which stores an anonymized receipt so the App can recognize your purchase on reinstall or on a new device. See revenuecat.com/privacy and apple.com/legal/privacy.
Notifications
Location-based reminders are generated as local notifications on your device — no external push service is involved for these alerts.
Anonymous Diagnostics & Analytics
Tucked sends anonymous crash reports (via Sentry) and anonymous usage events (via PostHog) so we can fix bugs and understand which features matter. There is no account and no user identifier — nothing links this data to you, and we never call any “identify” function. The only usage events are: the app was opened, a card was added (recorded as the store brand name, or the literal word “custom” — never text you typed), and a nearby-store search (brand name and search radius only). Card numbers, PINs, barcodes, balances, and notes are filtered out on-device before anything is sent and never leave your phone.
Third-Party Processors
Tucked keeps third parties to a minimum. The only processors involved are:
- OpenStreetMap Overpass API — resolves store brand names to nearby map locations when Store Alerts or the Stores Map is used.
- Sentry — receives anonymous crash reports.
- PostHog — receives the anonymous usage events listed above.
- Anthropic — processes card images only if you use the optional Card Scan feature (images are not stored).
- RevenueCat & Apple In-App Purchase — verify and manage the optional Premium purchase.
Data We Do Not Collect
Tucked has no account system, no advertising identifier collection, and no tracking. We do not see your gift card data, your balances, or where you shop. We do not sell data, because we don’t have any to sell.
Data Retention
Because your data lives on your device, it stays there until you delete it. You can remove individual cards from inside the App. Uninstalling the App removes most locally stored data; note that encrypted card data held in the iOS Keychain may persist after uninstall due to iOS system behavior — to ensure complete removal, delete all cards inside the App before uninstalling.
Your Rights
You can view, edit, or delete any card in the App at any time. Because there is no account, there is nothing to “log out of” and nothing server-side for us to delete on your behalf — uninstalling the App is sufficient. If you have general questions or concerns about your data, you can always email [email protected].
Children’s Privacy
Tucked is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Parents should be aware that gift card numbers and PINs entered into the App are stored on the device.
Security
Card numbers, PINs, barcodes, and notes are stored using iOS Keychain via Expo SecureStore, which uses iOS’s native encryption. Communication with OpenStreetMap, Sentry, PostHog, Anthropic, Apple, and RevenueCat happens over TLS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
