Social Season Club is the Dallas-first events app for the people who moved here for a job and never quite cracked the city, for the ones who’ve been here fifteen years and want the version of the calendar that isn’t forty Instagram stories, and for the 27-to-35 crowd who opened Meetup once and closed it in under a minute.

Three curated plans a week. One curator with a real address in Uptown. A friend graph that shows you who’s already going before you RSVP. That’s it. That’s the app.

What SSC is

Social Season Club is a curated event feed for Dallas–Fort Worth. Every week our curator picks three plans worth showing up for: a Weekend Drop of three events for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, released every Thursday at 5 p.m. Central, plus a rolling Tonight feed that refreshes at 4 p.m. weekdays. Every card carries the venue, the time, the door cost, and — the part that separates us — the list of your friends who are already RSVP’d.

What we’re not, in one sentence each:

• Not Eventbrite. Eventbrite is a ticket store. You go there when you already know the show.
• Not Partiful. Partiful is for parties your friends throw. It has no idea what Dallas is doing tonight.
• Not Fever. Fever is Van Gogh in lights, everywhere. It’s not curated for a city, it’s syndicated to one.
• Not Meetup. Meetup is a graveyard of “senior professionals happy hour Tuesday” listings. Our target demo has already left.
• Not Dallasites101. Dallasites101 is the best curated Instagram in the city and we love it. But it’s forty stories a day and no RSVP. We’re the version with rails.

Why curated

Dallas doesn’t have a “not enough happening” problem. It has a “too much to sort through” problem. Any given Thursday there are seventy events across DFW you could show up at — plus every open mic, every AA reunion, every conference room in a Marriott. The app that lists them all is Eventbrite, and you already have it, and you already don’t use it.

Curation is subtraction. A curator says no thirty times so you don’t have to say no thirty times. The bar for a SSC pick is simple: would our curator go? If no, it doesn’t ship. That’s why the feed is three, not thirty. And it’s why the demo we’re built for — 27–35, professional, transplant or long-timer, tired of the algorithm — trusts the feed. Because the picks look like the ones a well-networked friend would text you, not the ones a database would push.

“Curated” is not the same as “exclusive.” We don’t gate the door on income, industry, or clothing brand. There is no application form. The friend graph is the only signal that matters, and even that is optional. First-timers are visible on every card — you’ll never be the only new one in the room.

Who curates

The curator is a real person, in Dallas, with a real name that goes on every Drop. They live in Uptown. They eat at Rapscallion and Petra and the Nasher’s cafe on rotation. They have opinions about which Deep Ellum rooms have working monitors and which Fort Worth venues are worth the drive on a Thursday.

Curator picks are signed at the bottom of every Drop card. If you disagree with one, you can reply in-app, and the curator sees it. This is not a moderation queue routed through a support desk. It’s one person. That’s the point. More about who’s behind SSC.

Neighborhoods and rooms that turn up regularly in our Drops:

• Deep Ellum — Trees, RBC, The Nines, Ruins, Armoury D.E., Louie Louie’s late-night. Thursday–Saturday.
• Uptown & Katy Trail — HG Sply on the trail, the Rustic patio, the wine bars on McKinney. Anchor-of-the-city vibe.
• Bishop Arts & Oak Cliff — Emporium Pies to Wits End to a nightcap. Best walkable dinner-then-drinks in DFW.
• Lower Greenville — Blind Butcher, Cured, Truck Yard, HG Sply again if you didn’t get enough. One-block Saturday nights.
• Design District & Trinity Groves — listening bars, gallery openings, Trinity River overlooks that only locals know are worth it.
• Fort Worth Cultural District & Stockyards — Kimbell, Modern, Bass Hall for the big nights, Billy Bob’s when the touring act is right.
• Lakewood, East Dallas, White Rock — Sunday-scale. Longer light, quieter menus, real conversations.

The trust promises

• Attendee lists on free tier. Always. If we ever paywall the attendee list, screenshot this page.
• Contacts stay on your phone. We ask for contacts only after your first RSVP, hash them on-device, and never send names or numbers to our servers — only which of your friends are already SSC members.
• Pause anytime in two taps. We email you three days before every renewal.
• Founding rate is locked to your account for life. $6.99/mo, forever, if you sign up while the counter is open.
• No service fees on RSVPs. If the venue has a cover, you pay the venue at the door. We don’t middleman it.

Founding members

The Founding tier is capped and public. When the counter hits its cap the price moves to Standard ($12.99/mo) for new signups, and every Founding rate already on the books stays where it is — for the life of the account. This is a scarcity mechanic that would be a con if the cap weren’t in the database, which is why we published the counter on the home screen and refuse to move it up.

Founding rate math: $6.99 × 12 = $83.88 a year. Standard is $155.88 a year. Founding saves you $72 a year, forever. Cheaper per month than a single Uptown cocktail. Fewer taps to cancel than most subscription apps.

How to start

• Download the app.
• Skip the sign-up if you want to; the Tonight feed and this weekend’s Drop are viewable free.
• When you RSVP to your first pick, we’ll ask if you want to sync contacts to see friend badges. You can say no.
• Come back Thursday at 5 p.m. Central for the next Drop.
